I worked as a waitress for lots of big events and made some great friends. The Chef Jock introduced me to the kitchen porter called Jamie and we have now been together 27 years. happily married with good memories of working at the Hotel Leofric.
ReplyDeleteGreat article again Pete. I have lots of good memories of going to, and playing, gigs at the Leofric. Despite the corporate setting, it was a pretty hip venue and it attracted the best of the underground and progressive music scene. It was an upstairs room so the get-in wasn't the best for carrying Hammond organs etc in, but the audience reaction at every event made up for that. Yes, a brilliant gig!!
