In the late 60's to the mid 70's there were a number of annual Arts Festivals based the Lanchester Polytech (Lanch) - now Coventry University and Warwick University. Here are a number of programmes and further information will added in due course.
The Lanch Festival began in 1969. Bron Booking Agent and Colosseum manager Colin Richardson has provided more information about the arrangements he had with the Lanchester Students Union in terms of booking bands - scoops such as Monty Python's first ever Live Performance at the Belgrade Theatre in the 1971 programme below, the legendary Colloseum / New Jazz Orchestra and Jack Bruce concert in 1970 and The Edwin Hawkin singers who perfomred in Coventry Cathedral I will link those articles here soon.
The Lanchester Arts Festival had some brilliant colourful psychedelic posters in the early 70's. If anybody has any they could copy in a form we could display - that would be brilliant!
